It is a threat under guise
one only has to note that the bishops were hand-selected for the gathering - 400 of them
As Cardinal Newman once specified, later used by Cardinal Walter Kasper:

Conscience first - then the Pope

there is a joke amongst bishops on the title "synod on synodality"
they call it the "meeting on meetings"
