You are ahead of us here in Australia. We still have a while to go on this 31st day of December.

We were happy to find out that our priest decided only a few days ago to have a midnight Mass on New Year's Eve. They announced it at Mass yesterday. Stephen and I went and there were quite a few there and I was pleasantly surprised. What a great way to end a year and start a new one. I offered Mass for you all.

Happy New Year and Feast of the Mother of God

thank you so much for offering mass for us
we are abundantly grateful as this is the highest offering.

we didnt have a midnight new year mass
but i attended the 1st morning mass for the solemnity of our Lady

to all a reminder that praying the "Te Deum" on the last day of the year in thanksgiving for the year, and then the "Veni Creator Spiritus" on the first day of the year to invoke the spirit for the year = a plenary indulgence for both instances. (one must attend confession also)
Our novus ordo priest unfortunately did not include it but i remembered to pray them.
In the Latin Mass we were told by the priest that it will be included.

have a wonderful and blessed 2024 everyone
