Apparition hunting - the practice of going to apparition sites, reading private revelations, or listening to visionaries in a greater amount than going to Church, reading the Bible, or listening to the Bishop, or in a greater emphasis than living according to Public Revelation, or in any other obsessive, compulsive, or otherwise inordinate way - is a waste of time.

There is a very good reason as to why this is so. It is the Sacraments, especially Baptism. By the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacramental Graces you receive from God through It, you have become "another Christ", an adopted son of God, a member of the Mystical Body of Christ, consecrated to God, conformed and in communion with God, died and buried to sin, the world and the Devil and risen and ascended unto New Life, Everlasting Life, the Life of God.

Do not follow the pagans, who sought after gods and prophets because they did not know God or believe Christ: See, He has given you Baptism to live in you as in Heaven, so you do not need to search for false gods; He has given you Confirmation to give you the fullness of His Spirit, so you do not need to search for other spirits; He has given you Eucharist to make you like Him, so you do not need to search for pseudo-mysticism; He has given you Confession to forgive you your sins, so do not need to search for other ways to receive mercies; He has given you Anointing of the Sick to heal you, so you do not need to search for false remedies; He has given certain men Holy Orders to make them His Ministers, so you do no need to search for pagan rites; and He has given couples Matrimony to make them a sign of Christ and His Church, so you do not need to search for sins against marriage.
