Medjugorje : Towards Recognition or Schism???

Heresy experiments in distortion; orthodoxy developes in proportion. The false emphasis is not only a wrong in itself but it is used as a means of diverting the eyes of men in the wrong direction. Van Zeller

Medjugorje : Towards Recognition or Schism???

At the request of the Vatican, the bishops conference of Bosnia Herzegovina has decided to appoint a new commission ( in September 2006?) to once again thoroughly re-examine the alleged “apparitions” in Medjugorje. ( C.N.S. appendix 1)

All previous commissions have concluded a “NON constat de supernaturalitate”, or “SUPERNATURALITY IS NOT ESTABLISHED”.

This time it appears that it will be a final judgement: Constat de NON supernaturalitate “, or, IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT THERE IS NOTHING SUPERNATURAL. Pope Benedict XVI has twice indicated this very clearly in 2006. (See also www.aletheia.free.fr/-/2006/aletheia94.pdf

How will Medjugorje supporters react to this? In humility and obedience to the legitimate Church authority? Or in self justified judgement: rebellion or schism?

Almost all pilgrims are totally unaware of the true state of affairs in Medjugorje. The promoters remain silent regarding the numerous proofs of manipulation and deception. For over 25 years they have been able through one sided arguments to draw the “faithful” to their “sanctuary”. In Medjugorje everything is clothed in a nostalgic pre- concilar piety: Rosaries, Stations of the Cross, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, H.Mass, Communion and Confession.

What is wrong with that? Nothing, IF indeed this all happens in all honesty. But at the base of all this piety lies the deceitful information over “apparitions” and “messages” which have NEVER been recognised.

A small minority of Franciscans (some suspended and/or involved in a variety of sexual affairs) have ILLEGALLY appropriated the authority of judging the “supernaturality” of Medjugorje. What right do they have to do so???
Quid prodest? (Who profits?) Who benefits from the many contributions of the millions of pilgrims?

These rebellious Franciscans ignore all the negative directives of the competent ecclesiastical authority. The propagandists propagate the “heavenly” banal repetitive “ messages”', seasoned with a considerable amount esotericism: 10 “secrets”, the “sign”, “magical wonders”... Common sense and scientific objectivity are lacking. What prevails are subjective feelings and feel-good faith.

Via the “messages of the Gospa”, the pilgrims are set against the “bad” bishop of Mostar. This is now also happening via pro-Medjugorje-websites against Pope Benedict XVI, who also can NOT believe in these fabricated “apparitions” and “messages”( so he told bishop Peric on February 24 in Rome).

The final proof will arrive after the certain new disapproval from the Vatican appointed commission. Will the “true Medjugorje supporters” because of their disappointment give Satan the pleasure of:

1. losing their Catholic faith?
2. abandoning the Catholic Church?
3. neglecting the Holy Sacraments?
4. fomenting resistance, quarrels, and disobedience within the Church?

Many signs seem to point in this direction. I have observed suicides, divorces and psychiatric problems as a result of the “blessed realm” of Medjugorje.

The Medjugorje-fanaticism is as typical as it is unique. Many supporters are sectarian and elitist, with Medjugorje their number one dogma. Those who do not believe in “their” Medjugorje, are no longer their friend or is an “unbeliever”. This type of thinking is unknown at Fatima, Lourdes, Banneux, Beauraing etc. And the virus of this unhealthy and unchristian fanaticism is contagious. Even priests and some bishops have been affected.

Satan’s master plan is to divorce the most pious faithful from their “unbelieving” bishops and the Pope. Satan is willing to allow a short term loss (read the Doctor of the Church St John of the Cross) through an increase in confession and Masses in the false “apparitions site” of Medjugorje, in order to separate the faithful over the longer term from the Mother Church in Rome. Satan is cunning and intelligent.

Are the “many converts” in Medjugorje converted to the sensational-Medjugorje or to the true Church? After the expected negative judgement, supervised through the Vatican, we will soon know. Will all the priests who have “found their vocation in Medjugorje” subject themselves to the judgement of the Church or will they enclose themselves in the ivory tower of their own subjective feelings? Will the “good fruits” of Medjugorje become the bitter fruits of disillusionment and disobedience?

For the last few decades there has been an enormous amount of confusion and crises of faith in the Church. This has been used by a few pro-Medjugorje Franciscans who have misused a part of the Charismatic renewal movement to promote illegal propaganda for their sacrilegious deceptions. There is abundant proof of this in documents, books, websites and videos.

But those proofs of fraud have been systematically boycotted from the very first days. Honest research workers were placed in a bad light. The great expert René Laurentin took the lead in this outrageous behaviour. Sincere people such as the Franciscan Fr Sivric, author of "La Face cachée de Medjugorje"-"The Hidden side of Medjugorje", and born in Medjugorje himself, and the scientist and co-author L.Bélanger from Canada, were thwarted and dragged through the mud by the great Mariologist R.Laurentin himself. Why? Who knows?

The “believers”' were stirred up and duped with the “apparitions” of Medjugorje, which were the “very last” on earth, and the “most important”...

The local bishop of Mostar “had nothing to say”. But the pilgrims swallowed uncritically everything the arrogant and rebellious Franciscans of Medjugorje told them. They unthinkingly adopted the numerous manipulations as “heavenly truth”. The chaos in the Catholic Church led many to the cheap and false marvels in Medjugorje. Mundus vult decipi (the world wants be deceived...). The many scandals in Medjugorje were ignored or were justified.

Will the devil obtain his final victory? Will he detach the Medjugorje sect from the Catholic Church? Or will the misguided supporters at last use their common sense for once and accept the facts? Objective documentation which clearly demonstrate the deception is abundant: 50 books, 40 Internet sites, 2 videos (appendix 2) .

But will the deceived and disillusioned fans be able admit that they have been duped? Will the (unpleasant) truth weigh heavier then the feared loss of face?
I issue an invitation to all bishops of the entire world: Prepare the misguided Medjugorje-supporters for a severe disappointment. Their world will collapse... But our Credo remains unchanged, even if the ‘apparitions’ of Medjugorje are rejected again by the new commission supervised by the Vatican.

I am a bit concerned here in regards to this newly formed (or to be formed) Vatican Commission in regards to the alleged "apparitions" at Medj.

My reasons are two-fold....

firstly the decision of the local ordinary is binding and has been for eons...end of story..... he gave his decision that the occurrences at the alleged site of 'apparitions' are "not of God -not Divine"....

he went further to declare that the alleged 'seer's' had lied under oath (taped conversations to prove this)...and they had sworn on the Blessed Sacrament sheeeeesh ...how sacriligious and alarming

ok, so the medj supporters werent happy with this finding.....so then the Commission is set into action...then another.....

they're still not happy....ummm so the Vatican makes its own commission?....on their (medj supporters) whim?.....

why change the set procedures to follow in case of alleged apparitions just because the medj supporters arent happy with the local ordinary's or the follow up commissions findings...???

why not come straight out and say "we back the following of the local ordinary ...end of story....the faithful are not permitted to go bow, pray, or 'touch' this entity the seers are saying is the Holy Mother......"no correspondence will be entered into..."

I think Mark covers this beautifully in his article when he states that Holy Mother Church is extremely concerned regarding the fall out and effect and impact that this decision will have on the faithful that are misguided by disobediant fransiscans and alleged "seers" into thinking it is ok to follow this extraordinary "occurrence."

the effect of 'being mislead by fransiscan monks???...shock horror...st francis would be shakin his head in disbelief .....unheard of....by the 'church' clergy?.....fr. laurentin?.....Marion investigator?.....

in a vatican response to the french clergy in regards to organised pilgrimmages when this alleged phenomena first started to escalate....over 20 years ago......the vatican spokesperson stated.....that organised pilgrimmages were NOT permitted as they may be misconstrued to insinuate that medj is approved....he went on to say 'you cant stop people going there".....and then ends with concerns for the faithful and how pastoral assistance must be given to those that do go.

once again it is evident that concern that Rome and Holy Mother Church has for this flock.

I believe now that Rome's Commission will back the Bishops of the region and declare that the 'phenomena' is not of God, Mary or anything Catholic.

How the followers of Medj take this news is still to be seen. We must pray that God will guide their emotions when they realise they can no longer 'twist' words to suit their following this phenomena.

One woman told me that "God would not lead her to it if it werent true"....ummm wonder who did then

I would be thinking of sending in Rome's chief exorcist asap....IMHO (diabolical activity was thought of during the Commissions investigation)

Lord grant us discernment and St Michael defend us in battle.
