Yesterday my paternal family had a family reunion in south Louisiana but I wasn't able to go. My daughter Beth went to represent our family and of course my brother Dale, who put it together went with his two kids. This morning they started sending pictures to me and there was a huge group picture of all my cousins and their families and the neat thing about it was it was held in a large hall at the Church where I made my first Communion. I prayed for all them to return safely to their homes at Mass this morning.
Dale just called me as he was driving home and said he got a text that my cousin's husband was killed today. His name is Ronnie. Please pray for the repose of his soul. Please pray for my cousin Geneva, who is probably a wreck.
Yesterday was a joyous occasion and get together and now there will be a get together of the same people at a funeral.
Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
