Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales

Temptation is not the same as sin.
certainly isnt ~ classic example our Lord's temptation in the wilderness....and he was without sin......
recently watched the film of Saint Pio ~ he was tormented constantly by the evil one appearing to him (even tempting him with Padre pio's spiritual daughter) ~ also other scenes of his attack in his cell by demonic forces ~
Temptation (as was in the wilderness with Jesus) is the evil ones attempt to make people fall.
Prayers, perseverance and loving trust in God are our shield always.
St Michael protect all
"He who followeth Me, walketh not in darkness." sayeth the Lord

When one doesn't give into the temptation, one is practicing VIRTUE!
