Please, please also pray for a group of 40 students and staff from Franciscan University who only arrived in Israel on Friday for their pilgrimage, and are trying to get out. Today they are attempting to walk across the border to get into Jordan and get to the same airport that the Lundberg group is going to. The students have barely had food the last several days and have been sleeping outside without tents.
Prayers for all to return home safely!!
They believe it will take awhile to get flights out of Jordan due to everyone trying to leave.

Israel and the people are in my daily (several times during day) prayers.
Thanks be to God they are safe.
Praying for all hostages (Americans have been identified as about to be executed if Biden sends assistance).
Hamas have slaughtered children and parents....bodies lying among the dogs are left as an insult.
They should be more concerned when St Michael is given the command 'go'
While we may ask 'what is God saying to us through all this?".....and that St Michael is the guardian and protector of Israel......this 'delay' is for a greater purpose which will be evident in time.
The historical invasions of the Jews had to happen for a greater good. The destructions of the temples had to happen. There is a legend of a prophecy that the end of this present time will happen when Israel finally acknowledges that Jesus was the Messiah they have been waiting for.
Meanwhile the Kingdom of God is "already" here "but not yet" in its fulness as our faith teaches us. The fulness will be realised at the end of the present age.
Its an important concept to note because God does dwell among his people right now in this place and time. The Eucharist and the mystical union of Christ with his Church and the Community of believers is a reality.
Much can be accomplished in prayer. We continue to pray for God's chosen people - Jews and gentiles (other than jews) that Jesus established into the covenant.
God's will-will be done.
