remembering Pope Benedict's wisdom and faith

Post by MarieT »

remembering this giant humble saint, pope, extraordinary human being, always encouraging Catholics on their faith journey with his messages of faith hope and charity, and defending the faith like the fierce lion he was when it came to protecting the Deposit of Faith as entrusted to him. We miss you Papa Benedetto. Pray for us during these difficult times.
"Strong faith must go through trials.
A living faith must always grow.
Our faith in Jesus Christ, in order to stay that way,
must often be compared to the lack of faith in others."
Pope Benedict XVI - from the Speech to the Youth in Krakow

I miss him too. I miss his predecessor even more. God bless both these holy men.

they were best of friends jpII and papa benedetto

when he became pope jpII wanted cardinal ratzinger by his side
i recall Card. Ratzinger deciding time to resign but jpII kept refusing his resignations
He knew he had a loyal, faithful and trustworthy cardinal by him
