Interestingly our Parish Priest mentioned at Mass this morning this film.
He stated that though some parts are not listed in scripture, he thought that the
angel asking Joachim (Mary's father) permission for her to be the God-bearer
was an interesting take.

consulting muslims was surprisingThe script went through many rewrites, with consultation of Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious leaders —
though I have heard that in their book, Mary is listed more times than their own mohamed
and revered higher than their women
They don't believe in the Immaculate Conception or of the Divine Nature of Jesus
would be interesting to see how the story of Mary is portrayed
