Beware of the Deepfake Magisterium

Post by Denise »

The use of artificial intelligence to produce fake celebrity endorsements of dubious products is not new and is well-documented, and scores of people have fallen victim to such deceptions.

AI is indeed dangerous
i heard of the misuse of AI by teens who want to discredit someone so put their face on a fake AI - generated body image

the law needs to step up to this

having said that.....
the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, revealed that his department of the Roman Curia is working with the Dicastery for Education and Culture to produce a document on the ethical use of AI.
i'm wondering if the department can produce a document on other un-ethical decision making
just sayin'......

New Vatican document says AI should lead to ‘a renewed appreciation of all that is human’

AI is a worry.

In a previous post I mentioned how i tested it (and it failed)

but lately they did upgrades and tweeks.... and the spooky thing is that i barely send in a very elaborate question a good paragraph long, and the answer pops up straight away

no computer can be that fast!
I literally pressed the send button and a long response explaining my different parts of question popped up

I recall how our naive 1st parents in the garden took from the tree of knowledge
i'm thinking this AI is diabolic
